More than 1 in 10 American adults are living with diabetes, and another 1 in 3 have prediabetes, most of them undiagnosed. It's also one of the most controllable chronic conditions with the right plan. At Lifetime Vitality Clinic, we build practical treatment strategies that fit your life.

01

Conditions we treat

We provide comprehensive primary care management for the full spectrum of glucose-related conditions:

  • Type 2 diabetes, diagnosis, A1C management, complication prevention
  • Type 1 diabetes, coordination of insulin therapy and primary care needs
  • Prediabetes, reversible with the right plan; we'll show you how
  • Gestational diabetes, postpartum follow-up and long-term risk reduction
  • Insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome
02

Symptoms that should prompt a visit

Diabetes often develops quietly. If any of these are showing up, get checked:

  • Increased thirst or hunger
  • Frequent urination, especially at night
  • Unexplained weight loss or fatigue
  • Slow-healing cuts or recurring infections
  • Blurred vision
  • Numbness or tingling in hands or feet

How we treat diabetes

There's no single right approach, your plan depends on your numbers, your lifestyle, and your goals. We typically combine several of the following:

  • A1C testing and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) when appropriate
  • Modern medications including metformin, SGLT2 inhibitors, and GLP-1 agonists (Ozempic, Mounjaro, Trulicity)
  • Insulin therapy for patients who need it
  • Nutrition counseling that's realistic, not restrictive
  • Cardiovascular and kidney protection (the real long-term wins)
  • Coordination with endocrinology, ophthalmology, and podiatry as needed

Why early action matters

Untreated diabetes damages blood vessels everywhere, eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart, brain. Most of that damage is preventable when blood sugar is controlled early, and patients who engage with treatment in the first year of diagnosis have far better long-term outcomes than those who wait.

Questions, Answered

Frequently asked questions.

Don’t see your question? Reach out and we’ll answer it directly.

Can prediabetes be reversed?
Yes, in most cases. With targeted lifestyle changes, and sometimes metformin or a GLP-1 medication, the majority of prediabetic patients can return their A1C to a normal range and stay there.
Do you prescribe Ozempic, Mounjaro, or other GLP-1s?
Yes. We prescribe GLP-1 receptor agonists for patients with type 2 diabetes when clinically appropriate, and we help navigate insurance coverage and prior authorizations.
How often will I need appointments?
Most diabetic patients are seen every 3–6 months for A1C checks and plan adjustments. New diagnoses or unstable blood sugar may need more frequent follow-up at first.
Do I need to see an endocrinologist?
Most type 2 diabetes can be managed entirely in primary care. We refer to endocrinology for type 1 diabetes, complex insulin regimens, or cases not responding to standard treatment.
