Mental health is health. The wait to see a psychiatrist can be months, but most common conditions, depression, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, are well-treated in primary care. We provide confidential, evidence-based care alongside your physical health, with referrals to therapy or psychiatry when that's the right move.

01

What we treat

Common mental health concerns we manage in primary care:

  • Depression (major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder)
  • Anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, panic, social anxiety)
  • Adult ADHD evaluation and treatment
  • Insomnia and other sleep disorders
  • Stress and burnout
  • Postpartum mood disorders
  • Grief and adjustment difficulties
02

Symptoms that should bring you in

If any of these have lasted more than two weeks, get evaluated. Mental health treatment works, earlier is better.

  • Persistent low mood, hopelessness, or loss of interest
  • Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
  • Constant worry or racing thoughts
  • Panic attacks or physical anxiety symptoms
  • Difficulty focusing, finishing tasks, or organizing your day
  • Irritability, withdrawal, or feeling 'flat'
  • Changes in appetite, energy, or motivation
03

How we treat it

Treatment is based on what's actually going on, not a script. Most plans combine some of:

  • Validated screening (PHQ-9, GAD-7, ASRS) to track real progress
  • First-line medications: SSRIs, SNRIs, bupropion, and others
  • ADHD treatment with stimulant or non-stimulant medications when appropriate
  • Sleep optimization and short-term sleep aids when needed
  • Therapy referrals, we maintain a network of local therapists
  • Coordination with psychiatry for complex or treatment-resistant cases

Questions, Answered

Frequently asked questions.

Don’t see your question? Reach out and we’ll answer it directly.

Will my visit be confidential?
Yes. Mental health visits are protected under HIPAA like any other medical visit. Information is shared only with people you authorize.
Do I need to see a psychiatrist?
Not for most common cases. Primary care manages the majority of depression, anxiety, ADHD, and sleep concerns successfully. We refer to psychiatry for complex cases, treatment resistance, severe symptoms, or when multiple medications are needed.
Can you prescribe ADHD medication?
Yes, for adults, after a thorough evaluation. We use validated screening tools and a structured assessment to confirm the diagnosis before prescribing.
How long until medication starts working?
Antidepressants typically take 2–6 weeks to reach full effect. Anxiety medications and ADHD stimulants often work within days. We'll set clear expectations and check in early.
